Techno from Melbourne and beyond.

Built in Melbourne, Dean Benson is well known for his heavy hitting, no nonsense techno sets which clearly take inspiration from ominous soundscapes and field recordings. He has supported the likes of Planetary Assault Systems (Luke Slater), Richie Hawtin, Tommy Four Seven, Perc, Aphex Twin, Carl Craig, Stephen Bodzin, Radioslave, Kazu Kimura, Hernan Cattaneo, Paul Kalkbrenner, Peter Van Hoesen, Robert Hood, Sven Vath, Surgeon, Scuba, Sasha, Mathew Jonson, Robert Babicz, James Zabiela, Dubfire & Luciano to name but a few and his most recent set, closing after Rrose at the Liberty Social was dark and monstrous to say the least – you can listen to it here. You can catch Dean this weekend supporting both Chris Liebing & Jeff Mills.

Below, Dean has complied his Top 10 tracks for May/June and talks a little about them. Click on the images to hear the tracks and enjoy!
