We are back for our third instalment of Soft-Pedal, a series of events in which we take a break from our techno roots to focus on and explore the very best in ambient, electronica, dub techno and everything in-between. This time around we take over one of our favourite spaces – the lush surrounds of Howler’s outdoor Garden Bar.
Moopie is one of Melbourne’s most eclectic and respected collectors, someone whose sets can and do comprise of almost anything. A quiet achiever who has earnt himself a spot on top UK label Jealous God as well as being one of the people behind a colourful storm. We are rapt to have him join us.
Glyn Hill is part of the brain trust that makes up The Freeform Collective and Inner Varnika – one of Melbourne’s most forward thinking boutique music & arts festivals. He will take a break from his house and techno background to dip into his extensive back catalogue of sound.
Italian export and returning Bunker guest Chiara Kickdrum has made quite the mark on Melbourne’s music & arts scene since arriving in 2004. As an established composer, musician & DJ she has her fingers in many musical pies and is highly sought after for good reason.
Spilt Silo will return for his third Soft-Pedal event, this time bringing his live show with him specially created from start to finish for the event. Combining soft, heavenly melodies with smooth rolling kicks, it’s likely to be one of the most relaxing sets you’ll hear all year.
Boasting one of the best collections of left-field electronica going around Jeremy Graham will no doubt take you on a multi-genre journey starting with in-depth ambient and ending who knows where. His sets are always extremely interesting to listen to and we are keen to hear what he has up his sleeve.
