Paris-based DJ & producer Anetha returns with ‘Body Changes Are Natural’, the second release on her fresh label Mama Told Ya featuring Niki Istrefi and Hadone.

As illustrated in the first record (which featured ABSL & Sugar), Mama Told Ya continues it’s collaborative theme, which aims to challenge artists to strive to produce something new. Aiming to connect and explore with producers from different corners of the scene, Anetha’s MTY EPs each feature two different artists, both creating a collaborative track separately with Anetha while contributing one of their own solo productions.

For the sophomore MTY release, Anetha invited Copenhagen’s rising producer Niki Istrefi (responsible for the inaugural EP of the iconic Euromantic label), along with fellow Possession resident Hadone (know additionally as one half of 90 Process with Julian Muller). The two artists join the release to create a balanced EP of both emotional and fast-paced rhythms.

‘Body Changes Are Natural’ is a welcome sequel to the successful first release ‘Don’t Rush To Grow Up’, showcasing an array of sonic experimentations. The A-Side is handled by Niki Istrefi; the Dane taking immediate charge with the booming, kick-filled ‘No Ordinary Love’, before his collaboration with Anetha ‘One more cartoon, please’ – a blend of the tribal elements and intoxicating melody that’s fast becoming the signature sound of Mama Told Ya.

On the B-Side we are introduced to Hadone; the French native whose infectious brand of energetic techno and trance has propelled him towards the upper echelons of the scene. His tune with Anetha ‘4pm Snacks’ focuses on hi-NRG kicks at 140bpm with smooth siren-like melodies keeping the madness at a high throughout. The final solo track ‘Hiding My Machine’ from Hadone is heavily inspired by IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), with a complex drumming progression and soft synths that demonstrate a change of pace for the artist.

‘Body Changes Are Natural’ will be released on both digital and vinyl formats on May 15th.
